Our first external shareholder invested
Savio Kwan, former President, COO and Chief People Officer of Alibaba Group, and member of Venturous Group’s Advisory Board, invested US$10 million.
July 2020
We entered a partnership with Tianjin city
Venturous Group entered a collaboration with Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone of Tianjin.
Venturous also obtained a license for private equity and venture capital fund management in Tianjin.
November 2020
We entered a partnership with Wuxi city
January 2021: Venturous Group launched its first US$ fund in Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, the first foreign investment fund permitted to exceed US$100 million in Wuxi.
July 2021: Venturous Group was appointed, as the exclusive representative in Beijing, "Wuxi National Hi-Tech District (Beijing) Innovation Centre" to assist Wuxi in attracting capital and technology companies.
October 2021: Venturous Group and Wuxi National Hi-Tech District agreed to collaborate on an RMB1 billion fund managed by Venturous to support carbon peak and neutrality initiatives.

Our Series A was closed with US$131 million raised
Benson Tam, Founder & CEO, and Fidelity China Special Situations PLC, the UK’s largest China investment trust, acted as lead investors by investing US$50 million and US$35 million, respectively.
March 2022
Our first IPO, in the form of iSoftStone Group, went live
iSoftStone Group is one of our core holdings and the leading software and IT services provider for digital transformation in China, with over 90,000 employees.
April 2022
Our first JV, called Neuron Digital Group, became fully operational
Neuron Digital Group is a JV between Venturous Group and Arup set up to decarbonise building assets and facilitate the transformation towards digital property management.
June 2022
We established our second JV, called SwanLink
SwanLink is a JV between Venturous Group, iSoftStone Group and Wuxi National Hi-Tech District set up to develop commercial distribution versions of OpenHarmony-based IoT operating systems and applications.
July 2022
Our first RMB fund with capital raised in China was launched
Venturous Group launched, together with Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, its first RMB fund with capital raised in China.
August 2022
We entered a strategic partnership with CLP Group
The strategic partnership was set up to develop Smart Energy technology businesses in the Greater Bay Area, a region representing more than 10% of China’s economy. CLP is one of the largest investor-owned power businesses in Asia Pacific.
Jan 2023
Our Series B was closed with US$21 million raised
CLP Group, one of the largest investor-owned power businesses in Asia Pacific, acted as the lead investor acquiring a 5% strategic stake.
April 2024
Our third JV, Advéco, was launched
Advéco is a high-tech company jointly established by Venturous Group and the world's leading industrial IoT brand. It focuses on Smart Buildings and edge hardware.
